My granddaughter Blake Sophie is a 4th grader….she attended Blue Valley schools Las year where she had to wear a mask the entire day at school which was a miserable experience for her. Her mother, my daughter and her husband made the decision to change schools where they believed they would be afforded the choice to decided what is best for Blake.

It's an insult to people with common sense to try and make them believe a piece of quilting fabric can save their life. Stop the masking insanity now. Children need to breathe freely and see the faces and smiles of others.

My granddaughters should not be forced to choose between an education and unnecessary and harmful masks. There simply is no credible basis or reason for children to wear a mask.

The virus is endemic at this point and we must learn to live with it. Measures like mandatory masking, despite best intentions, are doomed to fail and undermine people’s faith in public health which may be needed for future viruses.

Mask mandates are against our country’s founding principles. Individuals should decide if they should wear a mask.

Cloth masks do not work. Studies need to be done on kids with N95 masks. Until results are concluded of the safety of N95 masks on children no mandate should be forced.

Let each person choose what is right for themselves. If masks work, then those that choose to mask are “safe”
