Limit Hanley/Wydown Development

I share these concerns and believe the impact is disastrous on the businesses and neighborhood

This does not add to the character, culture or livability of this part of Clayton. Good development is knowing when and HOW to develop as well as when to leave alone. This potential building does not serve the greater, common good.

I believe that we must protect the ambiance as well as Zoe's three restaurant's and all those who contribute to make Wydown so unique.

This area is too congested as it is and there are not enough parking spaces to accomodate the retail located at that intersection.

This is not necessary for Clayton or the metro area

This development will destroy the look and feel of our charming neighborhood.

There is already a parking shortage for restaurant goers and residents. This structure is atrocious!

Stop the overbuilding of our charming city!

This adds to the congestion from the Centene project. An already dangerous intersection will not be better. Lots of pedestrians including children use that intersection.

Completely unnecessary... plenty of other options in Downtown Clayton.

This concept is the anthesis of what this area represents. Whatever goes here should mirror the quaint, small town feel that permeates this area.

If all the ordinances now in place are rolled back Clayton will become an overgrown jungle of tall buildings. What is happening to all the green spaces?

By no means should a structure as grandiose as this take over such a petite corner. We need to preserve the architectural integrity of Clayton and allow residents and visitors alike to appreciate the buildings and surrounding landscape for what they offer to that key corner of our proud city. It's an elegant space with character. Please don't allow big buildings to detract from our cool, historic, suburban personality.

Agree with all your points. Also, the design is inconsistent with everything around it and detracts from the character of this stable, productive area of Clayton. Additionally, the parking entrance is too close to the Hanley/Wydown intersection and will dangerous for those turning onto Wydown from Hanley traveling in either direction from Hanley.

To increase the traffic congestion in this pedestrian-friendly area would detract from the accessibility of current commercial offerings. The proposed 4-story building is inconsistent with the architecture of the neighborhood and too large!

The architectural sketch is in no way is similar to nearby retail buildings---- although the structure does have art deco features.

I know the BOA can possibly like this design. Please make sure whatever is build follows the character of that section of town. This is a monster that looks like what Kirkwood did. Not pretty for this quaint part of town.

The City of Clayton is so greedy. They need to fill every empty lot with more residential space without regard to the neighborhood. This intersection is quaint, and has a cozy feel. Traffic is bad enough as it is-a structure like this won’t help. Why do you seem to change the rules (setback) to accommodate more of what we don’t need or want.

we lived there after a fire which kept us out of our house for seven months and thoroughly enjoyed the neighborhood atmosphere, park, cafes, fine dining - everything

This would add to more traffic, more congestion, and affect parking .. and harm small neighborhood businesses.
