This will bring too much traffic to an already high volume area. Pedestrians and bicyclists will put their lives in peril. Parking is greatly needed at this location. There are condos and apartments already empty and for sale in Clayton. We do not want this eyesore at this corner. We do not want more ugly buildings, we need parking and some green space.

I live around the corner from this and it is impossible to find parking between 5 and 9pm T-Sa already.

Why is it necessary to do this when so many local and concerned people are opposed? Perhaps the justification for doing this could be convincing enough to make those opposed change their minds. As yet and after the last meeting I am not clear as to what the justification is. Please answer this question before the land is sold to Savoy

When we opened Gateway CrossFit Personal Training (Northwest corner of this intersection) in 2013, we were nearly required to be closed from 11:00 - 1:30 each day due to concerns over parking. Six years later there are even more businesses open at this intersection. How is less parking suddenly a good idea? The last thing any business in the neighborhood needs is to eliminate parking and close a lane of Hanley Rd for 18 months.; particularly with the added traffic the new Centene complex will soon bring. Additionally, if successful restaurants like I Fratellini and Bar Les Freres close, the city will see a considerable sales tax revenue loss that, IMO, will not be offset by any additional school district revenue.

The proposed development of the south east corner of Whydown at Hanley will re-create the perception of a quant comfortable interlude before the hurly-burly tempo of Hanley and its’ incessant traffic to the generic urban overdeveloped monotony downtown Clayton has become with each additional new gigantic mega-story building . Do you remember the last time you visited the Pierre Laclede twins and how much you enjoyed that .
The traffic during construction will be able to strangle the local businesses inhabiting Wydown and create another Delmar/Ucity debacle due to the lack of parking in the ensuing confusion the transition will produce. After the project is completed we can enjoy the new retail spaces are possible with the restaurants to replacing the previous ones that are now gone . You’ll love the below surface parking and keep your pets on a short leash if you dare walk on Hanley. The traffic and congestion will be daunting.

We agree with the contents of the Petition. In addition, the architectural style of the proposed development is Ill matched to the neighborhood. Further, the parking lot is essential to the wonderful businesses nearby. We are not community activists but we strongly oppose this development.

I rely on that parking lot when I visit my dentist...my walking ability is limited. This structure would ruin the charm of this neighborhood and overwhelm the buildings around it.

I am totally against more building in Clayton.
There are plenty of upcoming buildings to be built. Clayton is becoming Apartment
City. We need to keep our businesses thriving. Wydown has great restaurants &
Stores. Why does the city of Clayton want to destroy our township by removing parking. People say, “ I don’t want to go there, as there is no place to park.”
By the way, what single woman wants to walk to the church to get her car at 9:00 pm
alone???

I feel that the city leaders are destroying the character of Clayton with all the development in the last few years. Add up the housing units added in the last few years and where is the infrastructure to support it? The traffic on Hanley is already terrible at time an this just adds to the problem.
