Limit Hanley/Wydown Development

I live and work in the area, this is the last thing we need on Wydown.

This project is not needed. There is plenty of new development in Clayton, in addition to plenty of empty existing storefronts just waiting for occupancy. This development WILL impact the already congested traffic in and out of downtown Clayton while also negatively affecting thriving businesses surrounding the site. I am not anti-progress. I am not pro-parking lot. I am a resident that is exhausted by constant construction and traffic. Wydown does not call for nor need this development.

A really poorly conceived project with lots of public safety issues.

As Lilly Ott mentioned, the design is not keeping with the architecture in the area and it dwarfs the buildings around it.

I STRONGLY OPPOSE CONSTRUCTION OF THIS BUILDING ON THIS SITE.

I am not in favor of this development as proposed by The Savoy Group.

I'm an architect whose firm designed a building for this property some 20 years. This corner will inevitably be developed but this solution should be a lot more residential than commercial in feeling. If this sounds appealing, I'll look for my old plans and renderings and we can discuss what might be a more acceptable solution. Good luck. My scheme replaced the city's parking lot below grade and erected parking for the development above as parking in this area is precious.

Stop overbuilding our City. If a project needs to have the zoning changed, we need to take a pause. It's time to update our "City Plan" and re-affirm our mission, direction, and needs.

Garish and out of scale. The Mobil station was a masterpiece by comparison.

There would need to be adequate parking in a lower garage if the building is going to add more business and take away public spots

We eat in the area regularly and parking is always a problem. To replace this parking lot with a multi-story building will negatively impact the “flavor” of the area.

This is not acceptable. This is a change that will negatively impact all of Clayton.

Gimme space to park please

We frequent the businesses and it would be incompatible with the neighborhood and create a parking nightmare.

I totally disagree with this development

There are a number of reasons why I think that this addition is a bad idea. 1. Parking is at a premium now with the number of shops/restaurants that currently exist. Actually, more parking is needed. 2. The north bound lanes of Hanley at Wydown are currently crowded and narrowing Hanley to one lane with an entrance and exit to the proposed complex would create a dangerous situation. 3. We don’t need another building with no green space around it in Clayton.

This build would ruin the charm of the area. It is too much! That corner already has issues. Clayton is choking from all the high rise structures.

The last thing we need is a building that will add to the traffic congestion that we already have. In addition, it is really ugly!

Please, no more buildings. Leave the parking lot - leave the green space - no more traffic in these family neighborhoods. Proposed building out of character for Clayton. Little by little, the charm of Clayton is being ruined.

Thorough inspection of impact at this already busy intersection needed.
