Limit Hanley/Wydown Development

Opposed due to amount of traffic already traveling at corner of Wydown and Hanley Roads.

The last thing we need on Hanley Road - especially at that intersection - is replacing parking with another development. As the Property Manager for Hanley Towers, I would suggest a traffic study be done prior to approving any more construction is approved.

I strongly support this project and development and am underwhelmed by the weak arguments and reasoning herein for opposing the re-privatization of this one time run-down gas station site. Good luck to our city council people and staff in seeing this opportunity through; maybe the the seldom-used little pocket park across Wydown could also be considered for sale and residential development? After all Oak Knoll, Shaw And Forest Parks are only a short walk away.

I've sent a letter with my concerns. I have said no.

We are opposed to this project as it is a perfect example of overdevelopment as well as one too many.

I agree with the other comments found here. We need parking, not another over built condo project. Given all the development of recent years, Clayton need to pause, take a breath, and consider what over development will do to the quality of life in our city.

I’m a Moorlands resident and am all for thoughtful development that will be beneficial for the area. This project does not meet those standards in my opinion. Added traffic congestion (near where many bikers ride and where our children walk to and from school), potential harm on small businesses during development, and removal of parking that is already scarce in that area. Not to mention a 70’s design that does not at all fit in with the architecture and charm of Wydown.

It is not needed and would totally wipe out the character of that block. The Grinch who stole Wyndown and Hanley for money!

This design is a cross between a parking garage and an office building. Why would any wealthy person want to live there? I think the City of Clayton should take a step back and consider a moratorium on new construction until the demand exceeds the supply.

I strongly oppose this development. This proposal could totally devalue the small businesses in this charming area.

Enough with development that be if it’s the developers. Clayton has lost it’s edge!

My main concern is the traffic. Getting out of Clayton between 4-6PM is getting to be a challenge!

This will be an extremely disruptive project for all of Clayton and all of there visitors

Against the proposed development

I believe a smaller development within the current zoning would be more appropriate. The fact that there are condo buildings on Hanley to the South does not justify overbuilding this corner. Subsidizing a developer with a low purchase price when land is Clayton is selling at a premium makes no sense. This corner anchors a neighborhood - let's do it right.
