Yes.. Its very true that there are tons of horses out there that are just abandoned because owners can no longer afford them. Yes its true theres an over-population of horses that have no where to go. However its very false that theres nothing we can do about it. By limiting breeding we can reduce the number of foals born and we can start getting the population under control. Racehorses especially, some have 300+ foals.. PER horse!! Some people breed horses to try to get the perfect color, fastest horse, perfect markings, ect. but 90% of the horses born "unsatisfy" the owner so they are sold and they breed again. Why not limit 2 foals per stallion like they do in China with people? We can give tons of horses out there a second chance at life and make an amazing riding horse. Also by limiting the breeding and with less horses, the grain, food, and other essentials in horse owning will go down and more people will be able to afford their horse and not abandon it. Horses do so much for us and they make up America's history. We dont raise them to be eaten so why should we kill our horses for foreign delecacy? Just by limiting breeding it could mean the end to this brutal practice. It is not human ethanesia as everyone may think it is. Slaughter is the exact opposite and is complete abuse and easily preventable. Lets all pull together and end this and save all those horses out there and give them a chance at life like they deserve.
Stop the greed. These animals are treated like disposable toys by the racing industry. Sickening.

The amount of unwanted horses in rescues is just heartbreaking. Too many backyard breeders just want a pretty foal and then dump them when they dont turn out perfect. It has to stop.
