I believe people in the system judges, mediators, etc. need a crash course on narcissism.. maybe read off these pages for the last five years like I've done, to really know what I've been dealing with.. otherwise I just thought he was an A-hole.. which it's much deeper than that.. after reading people stories and realizing I have the exact same story.. it was then I realized what I was truly dealing with.. from them smearing you to your family and then finally to the judge.. she ate up everything he said.. I try to get legal aid.. they told me their funds were tied up with evictions.. that's another thing you need to work on.. the taxpayers money should not go towards people that don't pay their rent.. but maybe help people that need help keeping the kid from their abuser.. I know this happens to men as well.. this shouldn't be happening to anybody.. these people should be more educated when calling the shots on peoples lives and especially children's lives.

There has to be something done to stop these narcissist psychopaths and sociopaths. It’s Antisocial behavior.! Their actions should be against the law. HELP!

I know of many individuals that have suffered at the hands of Narcissists- both diagnosed and undiagnosed. The abuse affects not just themselves but their children and future generations. These people should not walk free in society leaving a wake of victims and destroyed lives behind them without consequences. More awareness and punishment needs to be brought on Narcissists with abusive and criminal tendencies. Thank you for your time in considering this issue.

Yes, please do whatever is needed to have this law passed. Narcissists are doing callous, heinous harm to vulnerable, empathetic, compassionate people who most often are abuse survivors who only seek to love and be loved. This kind of abuse must be recognized and dealt with legally before more needless emotional, physical, sexual, mental and financial harm is inflicted by pathological, monstrous, uncaring, lethal narcissistic MONSTERS who come disguised as family, spouses, friends, co-workers and care givers. They think they can do whatever they want to anyone and just walk away; no integrity or morals. Let's hold them accountable--every last one!

People with narcissism murder the soul of their unsuspecting partners and often move on without being held accountable. They wreak emotional, financial, psychological, physical, and spiritual devastation. Victims deserve justice against this insidious form of abuse.

Divorce after 22 years of marriage and 25 years together...with a sociopathic narscisistic person who coupled up with another narcopath who systematically destroyed me on social media and in my real life for almost three years. I finally won my divorce and sole custody of our minor daughter. The older daughter suffered complete abandonment for not accepting and allowing the toxic behavior. Divorce court should allow and consider this horrific abuse which included financial abuse, emotional abuse, bullying, public shaming, etc. It's a nightmare I cannot wake up from. I was gaslighted my entire marriage. Some people are just evil. Regardless of the cause, no one should endure abuse from another person like this...there is NO excuse. And then they blame you for their behavior! It's insanity!!!

I suffered a 25-year abusive marriage never having heard of NPD. I have lost my health, I have lost my inheritance from my parents, I have lost my home, and much more than I can ever name here. There is no debate that this is anything other than a crime.

I'm SO GLAD that SOMETHING is FINALLY being done about this. I spent 17 years with my now ex wife and cover narcissist and I've been through hell and back SEVERAL times. Thank you for all your efforts. I almost lost my life SEVERAL times and wouldn't wish this on my worst enemy.

We Need Laws Protecting People From This Hidden Abuse. My Experience Is That I Am A Daughter, Niece And Grand-Daughter Of Narcs.

I have been victimized by several people for the past 20 years that I am aware of. My last abuser finally caused me to physically and mentally shut down. I have lost multiple cars, homes, bank accounts drained but the worst of it all was being tricked into signing custody of my oldest daughter to her paternal grandmother after she faked a divorce from the step grandpa (the abuser) to the extent she moved out of his home until custody was finalized. I am a destroyed human from the years of psychological trauma I've endured because of narcissism and there is NOTHING I can ever do about it.

I believe that this proposed law also needs to provide survivors with legal representation. This will help reduce the abuse of the legal system for the purpose of the abuser's intent and any potential unintended "abuse" of the system by survivors who are ignorant of how the legal system works.
