Light Up Wooddale Bridge

Lights will only back up traffic more. I read that more will be done to the intersection when light rail comes through. In the meantime a "no right turn on red" up on 36th would do wonders. Longer lights for traffic turning onto Wooddale from 36th going west would also help. With Highway 7 closed from Wooddale to Highway 100, no left turns on Wooddale, and the Minnetonka bridge now open, I see less traffic already. If drivers would heed the left turn lane closures, there would be no problem. I have seen many illegal turns because they ignore the signs.

I'm retired so I can avoid this bridge during rush hour. However, I still have two concerns. First, how do you intend to get "more" traffic through by installing stop lights? It may be safer, but it can't be faster and safer at the same time. Second, those on bicycles may be safer, however, they would be safer anyway if they were to "walk" their bikes across the Wooddale. They already have the right of way when they walk it. They do not have the right of way when they ride across the Wooddale bridge.

The 36th & Woodale area needs to seriouly be evaluated. It is a mess at rush-hour!!!!!!

This has been needed since the bridge was completed. It is very difficult turn left from 7 to Wooddale. Please do this before someone dies or is seriously injured. Thank you.

I don't like when my husband uses this bridge to get on the bike trail, much less driving it in a car ! This has turned into a nightmare.

Please add a traffic light or lights soon!

YES! These intersections have traffic coming from too many directions with poor visibility for turning. Add the bike trail and it's a dangerous mess.

Drivers don't know what to do with bikers and bikers don't know what drivers are thinking. Waiting for a fatality.

thought Hwy 7 and Woodale was dangerous when there was no bridge. Now it's just as dangerouts 20 feet up and a million dollars later. The bike crossing is a death just waiting to happen. Too many activities in too short a distance. Please help.

Even when the Hwy 100 construction is complete, the poor visibility on this bridge will remain. Please make the bridge safer for all!

I live just blocks from the Wooddale exit but routinely drive about 2 miles out of my way to avoid that intersection. It is an absolute death trap--blind corners, too-fast cross traffic, and constant congestion. I cannot believe it has been allowed to stand as is for 4 years now!!

An improvement is very much needed. Too much congestion and not well controlled. Dangerous.

The current traffic control situation over the Wooddale/Hwy 7 bridge is disturbing. Poor visibility, multiple entrances and exits, the nature trail, and high usage make this a dangerous area for both pedestrians and drivers. The future light rail will add to the problem. Clear traffic control must be imposed in this area.

We all know the bridge design fits in the SNAFU category. Since we are stuck with the structure, let's try to make it safe! It's not safe today! I bike, run and drive through 'malfunction junction' and find it super dangerous no matter the means of transport that I take. I say YES to traffic lights!

For the safety of walkers and bikers we need lights. Too dangerous for school kids.
