This is very necessary for the safety of the students and should be treated as URGENT. Not only Wallness Lane but also Peel Park as people transit there to the library and University.

Please take note of this petition before more young women are attacked.

Safety has to come first, young women need to feel safe walking to their homes. There are too many men who will prey on young vulnerable women on their own, better lighting would at least help them see their surroundings better.

I'm concerned for the young girls safety after they finish extra curricular activity. Many of the girls are not local to Manchester and therefore are more vulnerable.

I can't avoid walking past the park and it's horrible at night, so creepy!

I have to walk down Wallness Lane and through the park everyday and I never feel safe there when it's dark. The park and the road need proper lightning!

This needs to be done and fast - Wallness Lane is terrifying to walk down alone, especially as a female.

Would love this to happen, always feel wary walking around the campus at night and I often need to travel to the library. A couple of people have been mugged and I believe a stabbing has occured. Please sort this.

it is a very important thing, especially around campus.
Would be great if Peel Park is also considered to this. Night time walking across the beautiful park is impossible as always dark.

Salford is a dangerous enough place with street lights, let alone without them!
