Too tall a building for size of plot, will affect both noise pollution and create even more traffic to an already very congested area. Will affect all residents Well Being.

The plans are hugely out of character for the area and would deny current residents their quality of life. BRE guidelines exist for a reason. Clear disregard for current objections is highly concerning and utterly thoughtless.

Wandsworth Council you really need to think about all these plans you are passing and the impact they will have for the future.This is an oversized too dense overbearing development which does nothing to enhance the area. It is overshadowing other buildings massively and depriving them of their light. The area needs development but these high density blocks are not the way to go.Do you learn nothing from the past? Keep the needs of the community in mind not the needs of the developers.You work for us Wandsworth Council ( supposedly ) not them!!

I live locally, and am appalled at the very idea of going against the BRE Guidelines.

I oppose this planning. We have enough new builds serving the private market. We do not need any more so close to each other. Enough.

I wish to object to the construction of the planned high-rise buildings, which will not only block out a significant amount of light from my flat in the Candlemakers but will also completely change the look and feel of where I carefully chose to buy my flat last year. Currently I am able to sit out on my patio in the Candlemakers in the sunshine from midday until well into the evening; I have the sunlight across the courtyard all afternoon long. I have been carefully monitoring the sunlight and having seen the plans and looked at the pictures of the buildings proposed for the site, I can say with 100% certainty that were the building to go-ahead as planned, I would lose all of the afternoon sunshine and a lot of the sun's warmth. Why, when one of the reasons I specifically chose my flat was because of the afternoon sunlight streaming into my windows, should I now be expected to accept that it is fine to be taken away from me by an ill-thought-out, badly positioned and out-of-place development where the buildings are twice as high (or more) then those in the Candlemakers? Surely it makes a complete mockery of the fact that obviously some thought went into preserving the history, look and feel of the Candlemakers and even of Prices Court if these over-domineering buildings get the go-ahead? I urge you also to look at the photos I would have no objection to some low-rise flats being built on the land where Homebase currently stands; buildings of similar height to the Candlemakers; what I cannot possibly accept is that a decision can be passed that it is ok to construct buildings so tall I will no longer have a view of the sky across the courtyard but of a dark tower block. I specifically chose the Candlemakers when I bought my flat last year because I felt care had been taken in not completely over-developing this particular area (as has been done in Battersea Reach); how can it be that a decision be passed on a proposed new building when it will have such a

The proposed development is out of keeping with the existing buildings surrounding it which are not very high. In particular the 21-storey structure will not only be an eye sore but will block out the daylight to some buildings and significantly reduce the sunlight to others. It will also mean that the private 1st floor gardens in Plantation Wharf will lose any privacy – the main reason why most of use bought our houses and also a large part of their value. I have no objections to a development at 9-storeys or less, in keeping with the new developments in the surrounding area (Chatfield Road, School Yard, Petergate). Surely 9-storeys of flats bought by people who are going to live in them is better for the community than 21-storeys of flats that are sold to foreign investors to be left empty? Wandsworth’s planning chairman Cllr Sarah McDermott clearly doesn’t understand this massive issue in London with her “… it makes a good contribution to the area’s housing needs” especially since we have been told that the trade-off for the RAD is that there will be no/minimal affordable housing. Also the plans for gardens and community green space between the blocks seem to have disappeared with RAD taking up the whole site for 2-storeys. The current transport infrastructure is unable to deal with the traffic during rush-hour(s) on the York Road and the existing buses (170 in particular) do not have sufficient capacity at peak times either. We have yet to hear of how the traffic or current public transport is going to cope with the people attending the RAD, in particular where they are going to park - especially the parents waiting during their offsprings’ classes after school and the extra traffic of those people visiting performances in the new RAD performance spaces. As is it when anyone visits the immediate area the only place to park is in Homebase car park! Will there be free parking under the development for patrons and students of RAD to stop them clogging u

Please listen to the concerns of Battersea Residents. Remember human beings live here. We need light. Please limit the height of these buildings as much as you can and leave us some sky.

The proposed development is far too high and would be detrimental to the enjoyment of light to the existing adjacent buildings. This is an intensive scheme based purely on return on investment, and without due consideration for the neighbourhood.

Your plans do not take into account the tax paying residents that will have their homes shrouded in darkness by these plans.

I strongly object to over development of the Homebase site and the sun will no longer be able to reach my flat. This is not right. The roads in the area are already slow and sometimes stationary, and you would never have got approval for two tower blocks together if these plans had been submitted at the same time as the Plantation Wharf plans when they were submitted

I have already submitted my views in detail online. This is over development and the local infrastructure (roads and transport in particular) can not handle the weight of traffic currently, without adding these additional buildings and people into the mix. York Road is regularly at a standstill. The apartments that exist currently will have their light severely depleted and my flat on the 3rd floor of Trade Tower will no longer receive direct sunlight, my main reason for buying it in the first place

I own a flat at Candlemakers in Battersea. I strongly object to the serious impingement of the right of the residents to enjoy their properties. The proposed development will block daylight and will add on to the acute traffic and other problems experienced in the area.

The height of this proposed building is definitely out of character with the rest of the buildings in the area and will definitely impact the light on many of the flats nearby.
