Every resident in this borough (and this world) needs some light in his/her life without being or forced to be in the shadow of others.

I am very disallusioned in the behaviour and action by Wandsworth CC Planners. They are behaving in a very cavilier manner by ignoring the 300 odd objections, albeit there seems to be one in support , of the proposed redevlopment of the Homebase York Road site. The drawings are not realistic and appear to be a white washing of the reality. The proposed multi storey eastern european in its appearance will not add enjoyment for those already living close by. The height of the structure will undoubtedly block natural sun light from illumoinating existing buildings. Such a large development will also make road conjestion in the area even more worse.

I strongly object to the height of the building, which is against Council guidelines (7 stories?). The proposal will block my light 12 months of the year (83 Trade Tower, Plantation Wharf). Also, the existing traffic flow is enormous, any increase will raise the risk of regular traffic accidents.

The additional cars will add pollution both exhaust and noise to compound the current pollution owing to a dual carriageway and the Heathrow flight path.
Is it really the intention of Wandsworth to grow very high rise buildings in this area which will reduce sky view and natural light, increasing the need for local residents to use artificial light? Is the density of housing appropriate for health? - unlikely.
Is the greed of the owner and developer sufficient to allow this planning permission ?

I have just discovered this lovely area and hate the thought of it becoming a concrete jungle. Consider the welfare of those who live here.

It will spoil the views of surrounding buildings, make the area look overcrowded and cause immense stress on the local road and river walkway
