Build what the voters approved or let the voters vote on the changes!

I live at The Farm and we don't have the road to handle the traffic this public business will bring. They are planning to put Lifetime in the middle of a family residential community. The main road that takes you to Lifetime is also where the Tot lot and gardens are located so there will be al lot of pedestrian traffic (especially kids) on top of the vehicles driving up to Lifetime and the homes up the hill. This needs to move to another location

Bait and switch. Allow the voters to have a say about the changes.

Stand against corruption. Revising what was voted on to benefit the entitled elite at the expense of the other 99% of the community is bad policy.

The Farm was envisioned to be a new neighborhood that incorporates the best of our community – high-quality homes, abundant open space and a rural appeal that celebrates “The City in the Country.” Residents adored the original plans and sacrificed their life savings to invest in this vision. Constructing a gigantic gym facility 10x its original size is dishonest, it is an affront to the new residents who sacrificed their blood, sweat and tears to buy homes and it’s an affront to existing Poway residents who will have to absorb additional traffic density, traffic noise, eyesores, decreases neighborhood walkability and disrupt the existing Poway culture. To top it all off, the residents do not get access or discounts to the facility, or reprieve on HOA dues. This gym belongs in a shopping strip, not a neighborhood. Please bring back the Farms to its original vision...

Increasing the fitness center size by 10X versus what was proposed in a residential neighborhood poses tremendous safety concerns to pedestrians, especially children. There is a Tot Lot set to be built on Goodeve. The traffic “studies” and calculations I’ve seen to date appear to be an unethical attempt to manipulate the system instead of accurately predicting the Average Daily Trips. There are simpler and easier ways to calculate ADT’s, for example based on the expected number of members needed for the facility to break even (MIN) and operate at max capacity (MAX).

Lifetime was not the part of initial development that was promised to the residents. Any changes to the original plan should be voted by the city residents.

I do NOT want the Lifetime athletic club in the Farm in Poway!

30,500 seems enormous for a gym. The city let that property rot until the residents had no choice but to approve anything to remove the blight. Just be honest-that's all anyone asks.

Stick to what you promised!

The mayor and city council should be held accountable for violating the trust of the voters. Let us hope the voters remember this in November for the future elections. Appointing a Council person without public approval reinforces a lack of transparency prevails.

Goodeve Drive, which connects Espola Rd to the site of the fitness center (hopefully NOT Lifetime) is a small street with houses on both sides, a Tot Lot, and potentially kids playing nearby. A busy street makes it noisy for homes and unsafe for pedestrians.

I vote NO on the large health club.

I respectfully request you build what was voted on in 2020 -or- bring a new proposal to the voters.

Only reason I voted yes was based on the original proposal.
