Early childhood years are of crucial importance for the mental development of the child and possibly the ultimate level of development attained by an individual is determined by their experiences in the first five years of life.
Early few years of life is the most effective years for child growth. The concept learned in these years remains forever in an individual.
In a constantly changing environment, having life skills is an essential part of being able to meet the challenges of everyday life. The dramatic changes in global economies over the past five years have been matched with the transformation in technology and these are all impacting on education, the workplace and our home life. To cope with the increasing pace and change of modern life, students need new life skills such as the ability to deal with stress and frustration. Today’s students will have many new jobs over the course of their lives, with associated pressures and the need for flexibility.
Hence, it becomes vital to train kids on important Life Skills for their social and emotional development at an early age. Preschools, kindergartens and all primary schools should make Life Skills a mandatory course.
This will empower kids and help build up habits and attitude which will go far towards ensuring their adjustment to later life in school and in the outside world.

Good work jyoti.This is perhaps mandatory to understand the difference between academics & life skills which makes them more adaptive,independent,competitive & develop utmost resilience towards challenging situations.
Very nice thought...I appreciate this but I think parents should more concern and involved with there children’s activities. They should gave required time to the children so that they would learn life skills very easily becoz there’s and old saying that mother is primary teacher of a child and in my personal opinion Is no teacher is better than a mother.
yes i agree life skills are very crucial and building blocks of child future endeavors whereas it should be taught in such a way child should not feel that it is a task ,they must playfully learn and construct their connection with environment .Recently i read an article about the education system of japan particularly Takaharu Tezuka architech in japan built an kindergarten where there are no barrios /restrictions for the children to spend in classroom ,
In a world, where everyone is struggling just to make ends meet, this is very much needed !
Thank you everyone for your support. Even the brightest students leave high school lacking the basic knowledge which can cause difficulties in transitioning between school to independent life. It's high time Life Skills should be given importance. Keep sharing and supporting.
