Not only is a public library an essential place for the advancement of public education, it is a treasure trove of resources that shouldn’t have its budget cut. I use library resources regularly to find books that can teach us lessons in many situations. From learning how to paint to learning how to parent or cook or garden. I use many botanical books as references for my work. This is a vital service that shouldn’t be dealing with the stress of budget cuts.

Libraries are so important to communities, please don't take this important resource that already struggles as a nationwide entity and make it harder for them to provide resources and opportunities at little to no cost to the everyday patron. I work at another library here on the range and we are facing the same, budget cuts that will significantly impact our small town library. The last thing we want to see is these cornerstone of education be lost.

The library has served our town for generations and is more important than ever with all the misinformation on the internet, social media, etc

My 4 students and I use the library year round for a multitude of things!! It would be a travesty to lose this resource in our community! My 6th and 4th grader JUST asked for their own library cards and are excited to receive them! They check out books, attend classes (yarn get together on Mondays), games (board games, House of Cards, Lego), and events hosted by the library..and of course there's the summer reading program, Truck Day, and so much more!

The resources, including the librarians are such valuable services within the community. The programming is very important as well.

With all the electronics now, libraries are a place where kids and adults can check out books and READ instead of playing games on thier phones. We need funding do keep our libraries alive! Cutting this funding is not a good think. Please consider not taking away the funding. Thanks

The library is one of the only remaining free spaces for people to go without any sort of financial commitment or contribution. The library provides many resources for the community and particularly families, teens and young adults to have access. Decreasing the budget here and giving more elsewhere is unacceptable.

Our library must be fully funded in order to serve our community; and our library truly serves the entire community! Anyone and everyone is welcome at the library. It is a draw for people outside of Virginia as well. Thus, it benefits local businesses by increasing foot traffic, especially downtown!

Our library provides vital services to individuals and families, young and old, rich and poor. Only uneducated persons don't support knowledge.
