I come here to find new books to read for myself or for my son. We need libraries. Not all of us can afford to buy thousands of books. I love the library and it needs to stay!

I am a local family daycare provider. I frequently use books from The library to read to my kiddos it saves me a lot of money, and I am able to educate my children about all kinds of subjects (reading is so so important for early education) and having the library makes it so much easier to have access to books which are almost essential for children’s development

Please do not reduce funding for the Virginia Public Library. Honest, good people work here who provide such wonderful educational services to the community. They also provide entertainment activities that bring people together in positive ways, something we need more of every day.

I spent my childhood summers doing the summer reading challenge program the Virginia Public Library. The Library & the librarians helped me develop my passion for reading & books. Please save this library! It’s an important part of Virginia & it encourages people to read; which we all know, people need to do more of.

This has been a great asset to all people in Virginia. They is very few things left to do with children and this would be devastating

I love all the services the library has to offer! Nothing like checking out a favorite author’s new book. Also have kids who love the stories and take and make kits.

Libraries are the backbone of community care and accessibility for people below the poverty line, and we can’t afford to lose even one.

Where else is the city investing in opportunities that benefit people of all ages, backgrounds, and statuses? The library is truly the cornerstone of this community.
