She has been a huge part of Theodore Judah for the past 8 years. Letting her go would be a huge loss for the school and kids

Please keep Courtney as our skilled, kind and engaging librarian. Not sure if this is a STA union issue, but I truly hope passionate people that have demonstrated a commitment to the school are rewarded for their success and fit within their community.

Ms. Courtney is everything a school could ask for in their librarian: rooted and invested in the neighborhood and school. (I can't think of anyone who could be more invested in a school's success than a mother of a former student who still has ties to other current students). I've also personally seen her efforts to improve her ability to carry out her library duties...even after she was firmly established in the position.

Miss. Courtney is an integral part of the community of Theodore Judah. She spent several years and countless hours volunteering to help our children before she became our Librarian. She knows our children well and has provided a safe and nurturing environment for them to learn and grow outside the classroom. It would be a colossal disservice to the community of TJ to replace her.

I am utterly disappointed in this decision. Courtney is extremely skilled and genuinely cares for the students. We are lucky to have her at Judah. Don't make her pay for the mistakes of the district. She has made such a difference in our kids school experience and we want her to STAY.

Cortenie loves her job and all the students she deals with. She is currently taking courses to better herself in her field. Don't let her be replaced simply because of a seniority decision. She's a good and caring person and very qualified in her position.

Ms. Cortenie is a true asset to the staff of Theodore Judah. Her passion and commitment to meeting the needs of the students and staff in the position of Librarian was quite evident during the time I trained her for the position. Balancing the many hats this position holds can be overwhelming and in a short period of time Ms. Cortenie has done so amazingly.

My kids (1st & 3rd grade) have spoke so highly of Mrs. Courtney. They love going to see her in the library and the reading suggestions she make for them.

Courtney has been an incredible librarian for our school, but to say she's just a librarian is to woefully underestimate all she does for our kids. It's time for the district to stop thinking about positions and start thinking about people. Keeping Courtney Garis at Theodore Judah is the only acceptable decision.

This is outrageous. She is a wonderful librarian and it would be a disservice to the students and the school to replace her.

This is a travesty! Courtney needs to remain as the librarian because she is so invested in the lives of the students!
