I really do not understand how they can justify this massive fine when he was just trying to have a little fun during an assembly. Some of you have been messaging me with your own wild school stories and honestly it just proves that the administration needs to lighten up a bit.

I really never thought this would turn into such a massive thing but I guess people just recognize a legend when they see one. My phone has been vibrating non stop and honestly it is kind of surreal to see everyone rallying behind the syrup incident like this.

MAPLE SYRUP CHALLENGE! He should be getting a trophy not a fine.
This school is a joke. Nobody got hurt let the kid live.
Ridiculous punishment for a harmless prank. Matt should be back in class already.
Are you kidding me? $500 for that? The administration has lost their minds totally unfair.
Saw it happen in the gym and it was the highlight of my year. Matt is a hero.
