I was a member of the LibDems and tirelessly handed out leaflets in the last election. Due to these anti-women stance I have left the LibDems and will this year will spoil my ballot. If you change your polities I will come back. I won't hold my breath though.

Open debate and impact assessments urgently needed. Listen to women and girls who are affected hugely by rushing through Self ID gender legislation. STOP silencing views and voices and hearing only one side. Self ID has potential to cause confusion, harm and turmoil

Ordinarily I would be a Lib Dem voter and I currently have a Lib Dem MP. However I can’t vote for a party that supports such a profoundly illiberal, regressive and anti-science ideology, and at the expense of women’s sex-based rights, too. It has to be possible to believe publicly that woman means adult human female and still hold on to your job. Doesn’t it?

Liberal Democrats seem utterly rational on the matter of Brexit so its hugely disappointing to see how wrong they are on the matter of safeguarding children and protecting Women's sex based rights. Really hope this petition gets rational debate going in the Party.

I cannot support the LibDems until they unequivocally support the right to privacy, dignity and safety for women and girls. Women are defined by their sex not by adherence to regressive gender stereotypes.
And the LibDems need to understand what the spousal veto actually means, especially to women, and not just listen to the demands of misogynists who don't care about the women caught up in their 'journey'.

Gender identity ideology is misogynistic and perpetuates old-fashioned extremely non-liberal gender stereotypes. Gender is a social construct and we should strive towards a future free of gender rather than a future dominated by gender ideology which attempts to define what a male or female should be like.
Furthermore, the unintended negative consequences of self ID should be openly discussed and evaluated. I am in particular concerned that the privacy and safety of some of the most vulnerable females, for example those housed in hostels or those fleeing domestic violence in women's shelters or those in prison, could be severely undermined by men with malicious intent taking advantage of self ID if it were to be made law.

Lifelong LibDem voter, who cannot now vote for the party in all conscience. Please uphold the Equality Act 2010, and find a way to maintain sex-based rights for natal women, as well as caring for transgender people.

This is vital. Do not abandon women’s rights for an anti-science ideology that conflicts with them.

Women need our rights and sex based protections accorded to them as per the EQ10. Without being able to define a woman, how can any political party work to help UK women and Identify the issues we face.

Whatever the pros and cons the issues are complex and require broad based and constructive debate. It is not acceptable for a liberal and supposedly Democratic Party to say that anyone and everyone who disagrees with the position that self identifying transwomen are female is tranphobic and should not be allowed to express their views.

Gender neutral toilets in schools are particularly unfair on children. No consultation which goes against rights of the child and unlawful. Why are they allowed? A couple of unisex ( enclosed for one) would suffice.

I don’t see anything liberal about gender identity ideology, it is misogynistic, homophobic and authoritarian in nature. As well as being quite a ridiculous ideology. That tries to redefine well established concepts, based upon biological reality. As opposed to something that is basically a subjective feeling. A woman is an adult human female and there is good reasons why there are rights based upon that understanding. Such as privacy, safety and in the case of athletics, fair competition because it is clear that biological males have an unfair advantage over females. With suppressing of testosterone clearly doesn’t get rid of completely. We can be empathetic towards people without agreeing to everything that person thinks about themselves.
