Liberal Democrats’ Grassroots Challenge to Policy on Women’s Sex Based Rights

I didn't realize what your position on women's rights and self ID are. As a person who has been subject to sexual violence, I want to know there are spaces where I can be certain that male bodied people aren't present. Since my physical safety, and that of 50% of voters, doesn't seem to be a priority of yours, I'll be cancelling my membership and looking for sense elsewhere.

I have voted LibDem on several occasions, I will not vote for you again until you understand that a woman is a adult human female, who has rights separate to males (however they ‘identify’). Your current leader has made blatant anti lesbian remarks (comparing us to males who wish to enter women’s refuges) and calling women ‘cis’ on a national TV interview. I cannot vote for a party who does not value female’s rights and thinks female homosexuals wishing to enter domestic violence refuges are in anyway comparable to males who wish to enter one.

Very disappointed in the official Lib Dem stance/policy on this.

Thank goodness some other LibDems also think that policy on women's sex based rights need challenging. Yes to everything on this petition.

Former Lib Dem member. Did not renew when realised what the party’s position was on women’s rights.

I leave a leave a response each time I appreciate a post on a blog or I have something to contribute to the discussion. It’s triggered by the sincerness displayed in the post I read. And after this article The Growing Trends in Content Theft: Image Theft, Feed Scraping, and Website Hijacking ? Lorelle on WordPress. I was moved enough to post a commenta response ; -) I do have 2 questions for you if you do not mind. Could it be just me or do a few of these comments appear as if they are left by brain dead people? :-P And, if you are writing on additional online social sites, I would like to follow anything fresh you have to post. Could you make a list the complete urls of all your community sites like your Facebook page, twitter feed, or linkedin profile? I’ve been browsing online more than 2 hours today, yet I never found any interesting article like yours. It is pretty worth enough for me. In my view, if all site owners and bloggers made good content as you did, the internet will be much more useful than ever before. It is perfect time to make some plans for the future and it's time to be happy. I've read this post and if I could I desire to suggest you some interesting things or advice. Maybe you could write next articles referring to this article. I wish to read even more things about it! http://Nissan.com/

I sign this in the hope that one day I’ll be able to vote LibDem again

Signing in cross party solidarity as a founder signatory of the Labour Women's declaration. Jo Swinson's appalling comments on the Andrew Marr show reflect that you need all the help you can get.

Women are entitled to define ourselves separate to and independently of male people. It would be woefully irresponsible, unjust, and morally/politically indefensible to render female-only space inaccessible for the benefit of males.

Too little too late. I was a Lib Dem voter but I will never, ever vote for a party that gives up the rights of women so easily. Another 10 years in the political wilderness should give Jo Swinson and your party time to think about that...

This will throw women's and girls safety and rights to the dogs. I expected better from Liberals. You lost my vote

Lib Dem’s have an opportunity to walk this election if only they would change their stance of throwing women under the bus. As it stands I cannot and will not vote for them.

I’ve only ever voted Lib Dem in Haringey, but I have now cancelled my party membership because they have said I’m not welcome. As a woman and a mother to a daughter, I can’t bring myself to vote for them given their current stance.

Voted Lib Dem all my life - very concerned about this issue and hesitating about voting for you because of it.

It is an infringement of our rights for a man to call himself a woman and intrude in our places.

What about sport? If the Lib Dems actually declare support for women's rights based on sex, not "gender" as self-identified, I'll vote for them. As of now, I have no party to vote for as I haven't found one with a women's rights policy, making clear that self-ID and the invasion of single-sex spaces and races is WRONG and needs to be stopped, as does the "training" of children under 16.

Great petition. LDs are going to lose a lot of votes over this it seems

A party that ignores the sex-based rights of women is a losing party. Women count, and must be counted. Do not throw us under the bus! Ignore us at your peril. I do not understand this need to be woke at all costs.

My parents live in a con marginal with lib dem as the 2nd party. Why are the lib dems forcing them to choose between the insanity of Brexit or the insanity of going against women's sex-based rights.

Women's business is a right! Penis owners can do their own business. Protect women born female. Women's business is sacred business.
