I was a student of Mr. Padron last year and the year before. Having him for several classes and clubs, I've spent more time with him than most students have and got a fantastic insight on just how hard he worked for the program. He's dedicated and caring and is likely the soul purpose I continue to work on improving my music every day when I don't have classes for it anymore. He built a community in Red scare, Jazz band, Band, and Orchestra. He's the right man for the position, and he should stay not only because he has and will continue to help the program so greatly, but because the students should have more stability than losing another fantastic teacher.

I have been very impressed with Mr. Padron's work with the various musical groups at Lawrence High School. While acting as one of the chaperones on the trip to Florida last year it was clear how much camaraderie and respect there was between the students and Mr. Padron. I am extremely concerned this news about his contract and the recommendation for tenure. These decisions should be reconsidered as soon as possible.

I've never had Mr. Padron as a teacher, but I've only heard great things about him. Given the amount of students in Lawrence's music department and how amazing they've sounded these past few years with Mr. Padron leading them is remarkable on its own. Lawrence's marching band, Red Scare, sounds great and they really hype up Lawrence athletics. It just wouldn't be the same without Padron leading them and it would be a shame to see him go. #TearItUp

It greatly disturbed me to find out that the administration refused to renew Mr. Antonio Padron's contract for next year. As someone who has taken music classes in all three years of my time at high school and plans to take one senior year, I will greatly miss Mr. Padron if he is not teaching next year. His passion for music I have witnessed over these years has been a primary inspiration for my own study of music, and he possesses incredible talent in various fields of music, especially percussion. I have participated in many music programs Mr. Padron directs or helps out with, both in and outside school. These activities range from Jazz band, pit orchestra, and percussion ensemble as well as music theory. This has led me to believe Mr. Padron is the best and perhaps the only person who is capable of bringing such a positive learning atmosphere to the Lawrence music program, not to mention the work he has done to expand the program at such a rate. He has done nothing but good for the music department, and I would hate to see him be replaced next year by a potentially inexperienced director.

I think these arguments for contracts has gone far enough. Padron has been an awesome band teacher and came in with me and others in our Freshmen year. I don't want to finish high school without my super awesome band teacher who rocks at the spring musical and all of the band and orchestra concerts. He even got the part of the LHS music program to Disney and back. It will be a major loss to this school and to lose this dedicated teacher.

Mr. Padron successfully prepares 5 different groups for a spring and winter concert and manages Red Scare, Tri-M, and Pit Orchestra. He has had a major impact on the music program and the school at large. He has gained the respect and admiration of his students and it would be a shame to see him go. Why get someone new when Mr. Padron has done so much and been so successful?

I've only been in this school one year and I can already tell that if you fire him, not only will the level of performance change, the level of inspiration and strive to be better will drop.

As an active member of LIMBO, the music booster organization for LHS, I've had the pleasure of working with Mr. Padron. He is adored by his students and has been working tirelessly to strengthen the music program. We NEED teachers like Mr. Padron in OUR school system!!!

Although I have never had Mr. Padron, my best friends do and just hearing about his devotion to his classes and students is not something to overlook. He's a great asset to our LHS family and we will never have the same passion in our own musicly inclined students without him.

Mr. Padron was an amazing teacher and mentor, and it would be a great loss for the Lawrence Township School District if he was forced to go.
