Being gay does not affect a teacher's ability to teach, We need all the good teacher we can get for the youth of the country.

I hope they change their ways and allow a safe place for all people and people of the LGBTQ community not only in that school but everywhere. My thoughts are with her and everyone. Hopefully one day people won’t loose their job over who they choose to love and their sexual orientation.

This is wrong. Firing someone because they are not like you based on sexuality is wrong. Nothing she has done has risked any children or comprised her role as a teacher and those committed to making her suffer job lose because of this should apologise.

It saddens me that it is 2018 and we still are having this issue of equality. This shouldn't be some kind of debate, it's common sense. The gender of the person you love shouldn't matter. It's nobody else's business, and I wish people would just stop for a minute and realize that we are all human beings and should be treated as such. Just be kind to one another.

This is just disgusting. I know people who are against gay marriage (yes,still), and I will always try to respect their opinions. However, even they, would see this as discrimination. This is nothing more than petty, childish, and disgusting. This is why I am moving out of Texas before my daughter is school age. This and abstinence only education.
