This should be a non-issue. Dallas, Fort Worth, Austin, Houston, and El Paso ISDs all have protection for employees and students. Houston is the largest school district in the country. MISD don't dictate education based personal opinion or bias. You would be well within your right if you were a private education institution. Besides the ISDs TAMU, UT system, U of H, UNT, TSU, Rice, SMU, TCU, and Georgetown all offer employee and student protection.

Shame on MISD. Speaking as a child who was bullied, MISD actions are discriminatory and encourage bullying of LGBT students or anyone who is perceived as different.

A persons sexuality doesnt define them. My 3 children have had the privilege to have Ms. Bailey as a teacher and are very disappointed in the districts decision.

It’s 2018. Get with the times, suburbia - it’s a no-brainer. Add LGBTQ protections into policy and let Stacy back into the waiting arms of her kids!
