LGBT Protection for MISD Employees and Students

She has taught all 5 of my children! Our youngest is in second grade and absolutely doesn’t understand why his FAVORITE teacher isn’t there. I’ve explained that I don’t understand either. She is loved by many and taught my children and loved them as her own! Different is good.

This is absolutely absurd. If the policy is truly not to discriminate against anyone then why has this person be suspended. It's not even close to fair. Grow up and make it a policy for real.

I am hoping that Mansfield ISD will do the right thing. Bring this teacher back.

I completly agree ! This has been an ongoing situation that needs to be released.

I wholeheartedly support any teacher that's willing to be inclusive (which is why I think this is absurd).

I would like Mansfield ISD to have a policy that protect any one who identifies as Gay, Lesbian, bisexual or transgender. Such a person deserves the same rights as a heterosexual and should not be discriminated for being either Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual or Transgender.

LGBTQ students deserve rights and are some of the most vulnerable members of our community. It is your job to protect them as you protect all students. They have a future, too. Don't let anyone take it from them.

I don't go to this school, but as a queer trans women, it absolutely disgusts me that a teacher could be fired for trying to support her students.
