Stop the homophobia. Stop discriminating. I would be happy if my child’s 3rd grade teacher spoke about their same-sex spouse as well as cultural and social issues affect the art they study, including racism, xenophobia, LGBTQ-phobia, etc.

I messed up my name on my previous signature and want to make my support clear. WE LOVE YOU BAILEY!! and we love the example you are setting for young students. They should be prepared for the REAL world. The world were different people co-exist. This school should be investigated / not the teacher. Its pathetic and I hope the principal is fired for being an IDIOT and a crappy person who should not be around ANY kids.

Quite disturbing that sexual orientation is chosen to be void in elementary classrooms. I remember my teachers quite frequently discussing her marriage and family and im sickened that since this teacher is LGBT she is forced to conceal that part of herself as if it's a shadow lifestyle when it in fact is normal.

Being queer isn’t wrong or “adult”. Children have crushes, and without an inclusive policy and education on sexuality / gender the queer kids are set up to fail. They need recognition and protection.

Its sad that a teacher who obviously cares so much about her students should be expected to hide who she really is from them. It 2018 people, gay people exist, get used to it. Don't worry, your kids won't catch "the gay" just because their teacher is open about who she is. The only way your kids will be gay is if you made them that way... and in that case just remember they are your kids and you love them, just the way they are, wether they be gay, straight, tall, short, right handed, left handed, etc., etc.

As an employee of a Texas school district, and a student at the University of Houston studying to be a history teacher, I find this action reprehensible and reminiscent of archaic laws from the early 20th century.
