Ms. Bailey has a wife. Why should she have to hide the person she loves from anyone? If she can't speak about her wife, then no employee should be able to speak about their spouse either.

I believe that its a basic right for a teacher wanting LGBTQ students and teachers to be able to have safety and feel safe and to be educated on sexual orientation, gender Identity. There shouldn’t be a debate on allowing it that should have already been already allowed. there shouldn’t be suspension of teachers that want to educate students on topics that important to their development of choices in life. I believe the teacher should have not been suspended for discussing her marriage of her wife! People are gay,there are married same sex couples there shouldn’t be a restriction on that because they aren’t heterosexual. It is homophobic for this suspension of the teacher and it and its not okay at all.

It sickens me to see a wonderful Educator being punished for her sexual orientation. If she is not allowed to talk about her spouse than no teacher should be allowed to talk about their spouse.

This is absolutely disgusting. I thought we were moving forward in 2018, not backward. A person should only be judged by the content of their character and ability to perform their job well. Nothing else should matter. It’s parents like that who are raising a hateful generation.

The fact that this place does not have protections, and tried to punish a teacher for discussing their sexuality, is absurd. Enact new rules to protect LGBT+ employees and students.

I sure wish I had a teacher like this when I was in the FIRST grade struggling accepting my sexual orientation. Maybe if I did I wouldn't have hid a huge part of myself until high school. "Not age appropriate" my ass.
