As a former student who tried to seek council during my high school years at Mansfield High School, I can vouch that protections are needed for LGBT students and faculty. The time is now.

There is no reason for any ordeal at all, these children are at an age where the whole world amazes them and all they want to do is learn more about it. The teacher clearly wouldn’t speak on matters that are innapropriate but sexuality should be taught as well as tolerance of others. ESPECIALLY if they’re simple questions like “Why do you have a wife”

I support Stacy Bailey and all other LGBTQ educators. I know other teachers in the District who are scared to disclose they're married or in a committed relationship in fear of being fired.

Mansfield ISD should support their teachers no matter what the individuals sexual preference is. LGBT employees need protection and should have it without question.

Is this 2018? Are we seriously silencing the LGBTQ Community because a parent is "uncomfortable" knowing a teacher has a wife? How about THAT parent is abusing his/her child by not letting said child realize the world is larger than the classroom!
