It is outright despicable to be fired for simply being who you are. You need to fix your outdated laws, and learn that being gay should not be treated abnormally. It is who a person is, and in no way affect their day to day life. Equality for LGBTQ. The school board should be ashamed of themselves.

Society is moving forward with a positive sense of love and acceptance. Be on the good side of history or those in the future generations will remember you negatively. Human beings deserve to be treated like human beings. Thought they taught that in kindergarten.

This whole situation makes me ashamed of my home states inability to change its bigoted views. Their is nothing wrong homosexuals or homosexuality and it is time that this is realized. Instead of being the last state to accept change let's set an example for the rest of our country. We should hate any more in this day and age. Please make me proud to be a Texan, not embarrassed.

The behavior of this school and this district is shameful, backward, and anti-progressive. Fix it.

Give Mrs. Bailey her job and her respect back. Being a good teacher has nothing to do with their sexuality or their sexual orientation

Finding engaged educators is exceedingly difficult. Finding qualified, passionate personel is harder.
Finding a dedicated, engaged teacher such as Mrs.Bailey seems to be, from the testimony of her students themselves, who are the product of her dedication and application of skill and passion, is statistically speaking, as rare as finding your best friend in the Swedish wilderness (it's a desolate, harsh, empty place) her sexual orientation is not of importance when it comes to teaching. And dismissing her on those grounds is neglecting the development of the students.

Please reinstate a teacher with the innate, rare qualities her young students admire above & beyond her predilection for a significant other.

This seems like a situation which can be solved with a bit of common sense and compassion.

I'm bisexual. It would've been a massive encouragement to know that a teacher was LGBT, and there is no better way to normalize that than by talking about it with kids at the elementary level.

So the ISD cares more about the sexuality of teachers than the education of children? Seems like some people are in the wrong line of work.
