I can't believe that this happened. Heterosexual teachers talk about their families and husbands/wives all the time and they don't get punished. Why should she? You go girl! Keep being you, even if it seems like people think you shouldn't, I know how that feels.

Shame on you -- in this day of marriage equality to fire Stacey Bailey. You should 1. immediate rehire her with backpay for time missed, 2. issue a public apology and 3. create an LGBT anti-discrimination policy.

This is unbelievable. It shouldn’t be an issue, considering straight teachers can do the same, and not be penalized. Besides, the students will walk out into the real world and learn about it anyways. What’s the issue here?

I'm a parent of a child at another elementary school in MISD and would be very angry if my child was at Charlotte Anderson. It is wrong to suspend this seemingly lovely teacher on the basis of ONE parent complaint.

My 4th grade teacher explained sexuality to her class and how love comes in all forms. It helped me to except myself and love myself early on. It allowed me to know love besides hetero love. We need allis and role models.
