Teachers should not be prohibited from mentioning their spouse when talking with their students regardless of sexual orientation, gender identity, or gender expression.

Every teacher I’ve ever had has told me stories about their family, had a family portrait as their desktop, or even had their partner/kids come into their class at some point or another. If that wasn’t considered inappropriate, why is this?

No individual should have to hide the person she is. Educating children on the LGBT community will open their eyes in this growing society. We’re struggling to find educators as is, let the woman teach.
