Every hetero-norrmative teachers can discuss spouses so should this teacher. Mansfield ISD you are on the wrong side of history and everyone is watching. I applaud the parents speaking out about this. They hold the true power with the school district

This is not right. This teacher would have NEVER been fired for mentioning a husband she had. How unfair.

Good teachers are 1 in a million. And she seems to have influenced many students positively thus far. I wish for her to have her job back, but I also hope she knows there are other schools who would be just as blessed to have her as a part of their team.

It is no different than other married teachers, it was not sexual nature. She just stated she had married a female, other teachers may marry a man. Honestly, what is the issue? Teacher on the year, focus on her work she does for her students instead.

If any other straight teacher talked about their marriage in the class room no one would have battes an eye. This suspension is proof that bigotry is still in effect in this particular school board. Im proud of this teacher and not living a facade. But be an example of gay normative relationships. It is a real shame that the school board chooses to suspend this wonderful individual without even discussing the matter or looking inward in préjudices that excist in this modern world.
