LGBT Protection for MISD Employees and Students

Thank you for whoever sign this petition,As someone who is a LGBTQ+ student,I don’t feel safe,I’m scared of being discriminated by teachers and fellow classmates,But this petition made me feel better,Because I know there is people who support my LGBTQ+ Pals.Thank you again.

As a parent of a future MISD student, I strongly support LGBT protection for MISD employees and students.

As a former Texas teacher and student advocate I stand with Stacey and all teachers like her who are treated as second class citizens

LGBT employees should have the same rights and protections as any other employee of MISD, including the right to speak openly about their spouse.

If we protect one, we protect all. Being in the lgbt community is not a crime. We are loving people and we should be allowed to do so.

I know I'm signing this after the date of presentation but I wanted to add my name to show I'm taking a stand with Stacy as an educator and as someone who believes in basic human rights. Don't back down Stacy. The Mansfield School District is in the wrong. EQUAL RIGHTS FOR ALL.

This school district is an acting disgrace to the name of child care and education.

The real losers are the children, who are learning to how much they should fear the mediocre and bigoted adults around them.

Equal Opportunity means Equal Treatment. This is an American Ideal. Mansfield needs to step up and live up to that ideal.

Clearly, protection for LGBTQIA faculty and students is desperately needed in Mansfield ISD. I'm sorry that Stacy Bailey has been removed from a school and position that she loves. Everyone loses in this situation -- but the students most of all.

As a fellow teacher and also a parent, I’m disgusted by the backwards attitude toward this outstanding teacher and others, who like her, don’t fit the exact mold your bigoted community seems to cling to. You should be standing up to this ignorance, not caving to it.

EVERYONE deserves equal protection from discrimination.

I have known those who have been fired for who they love in other school districts besides this one, it is time to make a change.

I live in Alief and I pay school taxes and this should have been in place years go.

The double-standard is absolutely appalling. A heterosexual teacher would not have had this problem if talking about their spouse so how is it okay to fault this teacher for doing the exact same thing.....
