Clearly children's safety is bottom of the agenda! Dangerous and completely unnecessary - having lived in Lexden for almost 20 years it is only ever busy twice a day.

This road, the most elegant in Colchester, is only really busy twice a day during school term time. To put a bus lane in would be sacrilege. CBC would be better off spending money on subsiding school transport so reducing the volume of traffic doing the school run. Usual ill though out scheme by our council.

I feel this shall be a huge mistake and a great danger to pedestrians. I am particularly concerned as so many school children walk along these pavements. It shall also cause untold chaos for months to traffic in an already busy and important road into town .

Completely unwarranted and unwanted. Will cause major problems for children at school times and will not resolve the problems with the buses at thsese times. Support the moving of the crossing near the hospital as many people dangerously cross the road closer to the town. A longer bus stop at that point will alleviate congestion at school tines.

As a mum with young child who crosses the road daily to get to school , I feel bus lane can lead to accidents. I would like to oppose it for the sake of safety.

Very expensive and dangerous proposal. Cyclists and pedestrians don't mix and will use it less. Too many properties with blind access onto the new cycle lane.

Anyone familiar with this road knows the proposal would be very dangerous for schoolchildren, visually destructive and completely unnecessary as there are no traffic problems except for a brief period at either end of the school day.

Completely inappropriate for Lexden. It is not necessary, will ruin the only beautiful residential area of Colchester and most importantly is a dangerous plan.
