Leave this fine road alone.

Must have too much money to waste and are seeking means to spend it regardless of need. Cannot believe the research was anywhere near adequate.

It's a dangerous and unnecessary scheme.

I strongly object to this proposal.

Need clarification how cycles and pedestrians will share space. This may introduce higher risk of injury if there is no physical barrier (e.g. kerb) between the two.

To narrow the paths is a danger for the high volume of school children. Must avoid damage to the old trees and a travesty to spoil one of the beautiful old established roads in Colchester.

Ludicrous The only time a bus lane would be needed is at school drop off and pick up times. At these times School buses would be parked in the bus lane, as they do on the double yellows at present, negating the bus lane.

Let's not ruin a road that functions very well at the moment.

Total waste of time and money. And will achieve absolutely nothing.

Will cause unnecessary disruption to a road that runs just fine as it is. My daughter is at school in Lexden Road, her journey will be disrupted immeasurably with all the work that will need to take place. Why??

As a parent of 2 school aged children (who would be directly affected by this proposal) and as a cyclist, the idea of expecting easily distracted school children and cyclists to safely share a combined cycle lane /pedestrian lane is impractical and dangerous. The bus lane would not decrease the traffic congestion nor encourage increased bus use. No !
