This arrangement is made for a small minority, not all local people, with no concern for the vast majority who disagree. It's an obsolete 'tradition', for rich people who think they can afford to trample on the will of the rest of us.

Just because this is a tradition it doesn't make it right! Cruel barbaric - have you any idea how many horses dogs and land owners (on private land) are terrorised!!!!

By allowing Lewes High Street to be closed for this hunts boxing day meet, Lewes District Council is showing tacit support of the Southdown & Eridge hunt and silent approval of the violent intimidation tactics of their supporters against hunt monitors.

Cant believe a council would support an illegal activity, really is very hypocritical of any authoritative sbody in the UK supporting criminal activities from the police down. Do not allow illegal Hunting to take place in the UK. Do not close the Lewes High Street on Boxing Day in support of illegal hunting

Please do not close the High Street in Lewes to accommodate the Southdown & Eridge fox hunt. This secretive and violent club should not be given a helping hand by the Councillors of Lewes District Council.
