Lewes District Council: Stop Supporting Hunting on boxing Day

Please keep the high street open. It's great for people that are alone at Christmas to be able to go out and even have a small conversation with someone on Boxing Day

Hunting is immoral and cruel. What pleasure is there in ripping a poor defenceless animal to bits? Disgusting pastime and what does it say about the people who find pleasure in this,!!!!!!!!!!

Please do not support this activity which should have been consigned to the history books decades ago.

There is no place for this if we are to call ourselves a civilised society.

Can't believe this is even considered!! Get with the century AND the beliefs of the majority of your constituents

Closing a road for a minority which hinders the movements of the majority is not good practice.

This is illegal and should not supported on any level. Come into the 21st century and show some humanity!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It's unlawful and it's barbaric: hunting live prey with hounds has no place in a modern society.

Any kind of hunting is a barbaric activity and does not belong in today's society. It is by no means a sport.

Hunting is a criminal offence and must remain so. I cannot believe hunts are not being monitored.

Shame on you for supporting this blood lust sport. We should celebrate our wildlife not seek to destroy it for FUN.

I object to my council tax being used to support illegal activity such as hunting.

Councils should not be allowing this kind of practice on communal land as it is unsupported by a huge majority of British public and is illegal in England.

Your actions in allowing the road closure for this purpose, on what should be a happy family oriented day, show support for a barbaric and outdated practice. Most of your residents do not support this disgusting so called sport so perhaps you need to reconsider your position ?

This is unacceptable as it is not monitored in any way and the hunt is in favour of bringing back 'normal' hunting as they call it.

Outdated,unwanted,immoral,illegal,how many more reasons do you need to lead the way,come on Lewes.

Lewes District Council: Hunting is immoral and outdated in 2015, so please reconsider your decision to allow such a hunt to progress on Boxing Day 2015 and every year thereafter.

Very few people still support this outdated tradition.
