Lewes District Council: Stop Supporting Hunting on boxing Day

It's time to evolve and stop supporting the archaic, barbaric and abhorrent practice of hunting with hounds and any other blood 'sport'. By allowing the closure of the street you are supporting such cruel practices, and not only that, helping them break the law; we all know why they're meeting.

Do not support this cruelty, uphold the hunting ban, the majority of the electorate want it banning altogether.

This is barbaric it needs to stop

ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING of Lewes Council to support the hunt in this way! WAKE UP!! At least 80% of the population want this deplorable practice ENTIRELY BANNED!!!!!

Hunting has no place in a modern civilised society. Public spaces and access should not be used or hindered to promote illegal and barbaric pastimes.

I question the integrity of anyone who thinks it is acceptable to hunt any animal. Hunting with dogs is banned in this country and those who break the law should go to prison for a very long time. We need respect and discipline in this country not silly old fools running around the countryside in red coats causing misery and suffering to wild animals who can't fight back. If they want blood lust then clear off to a country where there are wars and see how they get on - biggest cowards I would suspect.

Please stop supporting cruelty, there is no place for it anymore. Protect our wildlife.

There is no doubt in my mind this is used as an opportunity for illegal hunting.

Fox hunting belongs in the dark ages. It's barbaric torture of innocent animal's that are ruthlessly murdered by humans on horseback. Allowing them to have the high street closed is basically supporting them for abusing our wildlife. It's about time people stood up to them instead of letting them think their above the law. It's disgraceful the way some humans still think it's acceptable to torture animal's and call it a sport

Hunting belongs back in the Dark Ages. It is barbarically cruel, totally unnecessary & is NOT sport. Hunting not only kills foxes but every other form of wildlife too & domestic pets have been killed by hounds too. People who hunt are sadistic psychopaths & need putting behind bars! Come on Lewes District Council, don't be bullied into closing the High Street for the hunt on Boxing day or any other day. You are better than this.

Lewes & District Councillors please don't encourage blood sports. Keep the High Street Open on Boxing Day. Don't show support for Hunting with dogs.
