Lewes District Council: Stop Supporting Hunting on boxing Day

Fox hunting must end. It's cruel, barbaric and has no place in modern society.

the road should be open and all others kept open until the Police choose to ensure the law regarding foxhunting is both adhered to and enforced. Unless this happens, closing the road, as things stand at the moment, is supporting a potentially illegal and unsupervised activity

Please do not allow hunting to take place on this land!

Lewis council appear to be supporting illegal hunting by allowing streets to be closed for a hunts Boxing Day meet. Hunting is no longer 'fashionable' or supported by the majority of the public, why are the council supporting them?

Please do not allow illegal hunting to persist.

Closing roads to let the hunters play at ritual slaughter? Is this what folk pay their council tax for? Lewes District Council you are either way out of touch with the views of your residents or you're mates with the Southdown hunt. Shameful.

I am sure most residents of Lewes, as do the majority of UK residents - do NOT support fox hunting. It is therefore not prudent of Lewes Council to close the road for the Boxing Day event. It would appear that the council are condoning illegal killing of wildlife if they close the road. Think about it ....... we have the vote and a LONG MEMORY when it comes to election time .......

Fox hunters are in the minority. Hopefully you'll listen to the majority of the population who abhor this cruel sport. If a lot of anti fox hunters come to Lewes High Street on Boxing Day you may find you have clashes. Do you really want this? Fox hunters can live without this cruel sport. Fox hunters won't die if it's stopped. The British population has already expressed its views about fox hunting listen to the majority not the minority....please

Why would a council support illegal activities unless some of the councillors are criminals too? This council needs to be investigated by the police.

Please do not allow a closure of high Street to enable a sport which is actually illegal. 80% of general public are against hunting with dogs because of the crurlty.
