Restricting legitimate, licensed firearms users does nothing to address the problem of gun crime.

Why is it the legitimate shooter is punished when a criminal does something wrong.

The penalization of law abiding fire arm owners under the auspices of 'Heightened threat of terrorism' is a sad and all too common excuse by this government to impose gratuitously draconian laws on the Australian population. It must end!

As a law abiding gun owner, I really don't want to have to break multiple laws just to own a .22 lever action. In fact, I'm fed up with all these ludicrous restrictions in general, such as not being able to own a pump-action shotgun but a pump-action rifle is somehow fine. This is simply the anti-gun lot trying to get their own way and their entire cause is literally a huge joke. One day, I'd like to see something decent happen to the criminals instead of law-abiding private gun owners, you know, like a decent jail sentence instead of a slap on the wrist. Anyway, I'm going to sign this to help stop ourselves being demonized and such, as its just gone completely overboard.

With all this talk of gun control and regulation - not ONE indication of how you are going to deal with ILLEGAL firearms - only how you can screw LEGAL HONEST citizens.

Lever action and pump action rifles and shotguns should be readily available for all licensed shooters.
There is no logical reson to have them restricted or reclassified.
Who's running the country. This is nonsence
