I have been around guns my whole life. I am a law abiding tax paying citizen. Not only are guns a tool in the rural industry but also a means to provide for your family. Legal guns are not the problem and every person with sense knows this. Shame on the government for tresting us as criminals .

This is a very disturbing turn of events. To punish law abiding firearm owners will do nothing to curb gun crime. Your efforts and resources would be better put toward stopping the illegal importation of prohibited firearms.

I own a 30/30 and am not interested in the governments plans to re categorise these firearms. It's the same old story! Knee jerk reactions to keep part of the population happy.
As firearm owners we should be pushing to have pump action and semi auto's reintroduced into a category that is more accessible.

Do not punish law abiding gun owners and farmers and hunters because of the perceived actions of criminals, who will ignore the laws anyway.

My grandfather has become ill and handed down his winchester 30-30.
there's no way I want to lose this rifle. Haven't all of us licensed firearm owners been punished enough for the actions of criminals?
