I think that the reclassification of the type of firearm is rediculus.people have had access to these guns for ages and as of now they think they're "dangerous".they're guns of course they are but only when they're being used by complete retards or people who shouldn't be using them (the unliscenced)

Tony Abbott has now shown his true colours as a complete untrustworthy liar by telling the public and media that the culprit in the Lindt Café siege had a current shooters licence and now is using that to ride ruffshod over the state firearm laws by banning something that has been around, legally owned since the 1900's.
He should be ashamed at knee jerk reaction to the yuppy media and minority anti firearm push.
He has lost so much credibility.

A firearm is an essential tool in the farming sector for the control of pests like foxes and rabbits, taking this away will make farming more difficult and lessen the returns from farming.

The Government should be looking at getting illegal and unlicensed firearms out of the community. People who take the time to license and register their firearms should not be penalised.
