Talk about pandering to the ignorant haters. Me Abbot is having a déjà Vue Howard moment, destined to make the same mistakes. The NFA made no impact on either gun crime or murder statistics, taking away legal guns doesn't stop criminals using illegal guns. How about committing resources to fighting actual crime and procecuting actual criminals instead of continually victimising law abiding firearms owners. We are subjlect to more checks and restrictions than any other group in society despite the fact that simply by qualifying for our firearms licenses we have already proven ourselves among the most trustworthy citizens in the country. Fight criminals not the law abiding.

When are people going to wake up.
Not one firearm related crime has involved a Legally owned or Legal firearm
Thus will not stop the crime, every car gas the potential to go at lest 200km an hour and kills more men, women and children every day and yet no one is calling to ban any vehicle that can travel over say 120km an hour

Why now you try taking out leaver action guns, we are law abiding citizens, go attack the filthy scum bikies, drug dealers and alike who import illegal weapons WE ARE NOT YOUR FAIL SAFE AND WE AS LEGAL GUN OWNERS WILL NOT BE BULLIED BY GOVERNMENT BECAUSE YOU CANT FIND THE REAL CRIMINALS

Gun laws are getting ridiculous.. when are Politicians going to understand that guns themselves are ok, it's the people that use them that can be the trouble, and by enforcing more ridiculous laws, they are just increasing people going "underground" and getting them by illegal means. You don't have to be a licenced gun owner to do that, either!!
