I am a law abiding citizen who has owned & used these firearms for years. My take on this is the proposed banning does not match the argument the government is putting up. This is only for political points. The government could ban every firearm then what excuse will they use when somebody commits another firearm relate crime.The only way to stop crime is to deal with the one/group of people committing the crime not slap them on the wrist .

This restriction has zero to do with fighting crime and everything to do with punishing the law abiding, limiting choice and stifling commerce. Whose side are you on?
Don't penalise Australian gun licence holders for something a foreigner criminal illegal gun user did

We get all the checks done so we can have them legally! Why do we keep getting penalized and put in the same category as criminals. It is a joke!!!

I wholeheartedly agree with the statements above. Country folk require these utilities for multiple reasons and it only goes to show the gap between private school, city folk who have no idea.

Why does the government insist on penalising licenced firearms owners with registered firearms? This will not remove illegal firearms from the criminal community.

People with no idea about weapons making uneducated and bias statements regarding lever action rifles that have been in use for about 130 years, hardly new technology rapid fire weapons.

Really dissappointed with iur go ernment once again bowing to media hype and punishing law abiding gun owners who have already proven that we are git and proper to own firearms. Tired of beibg treated like a criminal

Please rethink and do your homework on this decision!!! The responsible honest owners are being penalized for underground theives, criminals with no respect for anyone clean up the scumbags before targeting law abiding people!
