Keep lever rifles legal!

Really dissappointed with iur go ernment once again bowing to media hype and punishing law abiding gun owners who have already proven that we are git and proper to own firearms. Tired of beibg treated like a criminal

Great argument, well written. I own a lever action 22 legally, and I believe there is no reason for lever action rifles to change category.

Punish thoughs people who do the wrong thing not the people who do the right thing. Gov might as well ban all kinds of knifes since people use knifes a lot more than guns to do wrong thing. Gov is not going to take my right to own a lever action gun unless gov wants to pay for c or d cad for rest of my life

Fix the real problem and get the illegal guns off the street, and don't forget how the 1996 buyback failed to do this with an estimated 250000 guns that should of been handed in the buyback still on the street, unregested and untraceable. Australia's law abiding shooters are sick of being the scapegoats for lazy politicians that can't be bothered figuring out where the real crime problems are , and how to deal with them . Tony Abbott , you work for us and don't you ever forget it .

I am sick of the crazy decisions made by people that have no idea of what they are doing. No consultation or research done. It is all prejudiced against law abiding people. With little done to catch the criminals on the street.

trying to get my license as this all unfolds, I just hope there is a sport to pass onto my children. I am happy to have the checks and regular visits as an honerable and law abiding citizen. LAFO are not the ones that need addressing. Hit the criminals and hit them hard!

We are slowly becoming slaves in our own country. By the people who we vote in. Did The people of our county get asked about this matter, no. Once again the government is trying to buy vote from the minority not the migority. It is now time we all stand up and stop this, because they aren't just taking our guns our sport or our hobby away from us they are taking away our rights. Stand together this time and stop this. We didn't the first time they want to take semi autos off US because we thought it wouldn't happen. Well we all know what happened with that, don't we. Now it's leaver action next bolt action and in the end we won't have any guns.

This can not happen, why should people who do the right thing with guns and have a licence get them taken away! Everyone get around this!
