Ty, Jillian and I really hope you get to play for the USA! And this is for the future athletes, too! Thanks for making us aware.

This is a great opportunity for this young man and he shouldn't be punished for it.

Let the kid play. He is getting a once in a lifetime opportunity to represent his country, it's absurd that he'll be punished by not being allowed to finish out his high school season. Rules can and are always changed defending on circumstance. And this is as good as a reason as any!

Why wouldn't we celebrate Ty's success, rather than penalize him?

Unprecedented opportunity that shouldn't be denied to a deserving youth hockey player. Time for a rule change WIAA.

It is beyond me why anyone would not be allowed to participate in both of these in incredible experiences. Please reconsider.

Hard to believe this. Wake up Wisconsin adult leaders. The USA is calling one of your own. Get off your high horse and let this happen.

What an awesome opportunity for Ty. He earned it. Let him play in Norway and then allow him to comeback and join his HS team. It's the right thing to do!

What a huge honor for Ty. It would be foolish to limit him from high school hockey.

It's unconcionable that you're making Ty choose between playing HS hockey and the YOG. He's deserving of both! Change this rule!

I hope those that have the power to make the right decision do so! Rules are rules, but there have to be exceptions, and this is a classic case! Things have changed over the years, please don't make this talented young man miss out on an opportunity of a lifetime!
