Please do the right thing by amending this rule so it will allow a youth to play for their country as well as their high school. This young man has worked hard to get to this accomplishment. I don't think the rule was intended for this situation so please reconsider.

What a poor message to send to young athletes. Ty has honed his craft with exceptional dedication while maintaining exemplary academic standing and could be denied the opportunity to represent his school because of bureaucracy that likely didn't consider this specific circumstance. Way to send the message to up and coming athletes that they are better served to not participate in WIAA programs. Shame on the board is all I can say!
