Let him play and participate on both teams. With all the negativity in today's youth you have failed to stand behind an amazing local youth. Shame on you WIAA and Dave Anderson. I thought he was an ass when in Sun Prairie and still hasn't changed

It would be a tragedy to deny a kid an opportunity to play for his school for participating in a chance in a lifetime honor and experience.

Big picture should be considered. Why penalize a student athlete when a once in a lifetime opportunity comes along.

Let this talented young man play in both the high school and Olympic youth games. This rule must be changed for future youth. Thank you, Dianne Longerbone

Seems like an extraordinary case which is due to timing of the Okympics and first round playoff games. Please grant an exception to the rule. Olympics are for amateur athletes, a high school athlete couldn't be more of an amateur.

It is in the interest of all sports authorities to demonstrate sound leadership capable of solveing problems, not create them.

Not sure why the WIAA would not want to promote this to the fullest extent possible. This can only be a good thing for Wisconsin and we should be helping in any way possible. Please choose Country over HS if it comes to that.

One would think that if the right decision is not made, it could cause other kids to decide to leave high school hockey earlier than they might otherwise. If they can't come back after an opportunity like this, why not just leave right away and play AAA/junior the whole time and not have to worry about it? Please make the right choice and let him represent Wisconsin and the USA without punishing his team for doing so.

What an honor for this young man, for Memorial H.S., and the state of Wisconsin. It makes no sense to penalize this fine player or make him chose whether or not to play for his country. Time to change the rule.
