Please reconsider your decision. Ty should be able to represent his country and then come back and represent his high school. He has earned both opportunities. The only reason Ty playing both is an issue is because of the dates the Junior Olympics takes place. It is scheduled within the WIAA hockey season. Why does that make a difference? We have had local athletes in other sports represent their country by playing on national teams and then be able to play the next season with their HS team. The WIAA needs to make an exemption for players selected to represent their country in season.

chance of a lifetime...kid has played with his HS teammates since he was a mite...he needs to finish what he started with them when he comes back from is once in a lifetime experience

Let him play both! No reason for these restrictions! Even if he is a Memorial player and not North. ;) He represents WI! That makes us proud!!

Please reconsider your decision and allow Ty Emberson to represent the USA team. The USA team is not a professional team nor do they compete with other WIAA schools so it does not make it a conflict of interest.

As a former student athlete who played both high school baseball and represented this great country in the junior Olympic festival, I believe it would be a great injustice to make Ty Emberson choose between his high school team and his country. You only get an opportunity to play for your country once in your life. Likewise playing high school sports. The WIAA should make an exception is cases like Ty's. Him and student athletes like him are great representatives of this great state of Wisconsin. Do the right thing WIAA.
