As a former men's lacrosse player at Whittier College, I am appalled at the fact that these programs are being cut. So much history that made this college great is being stripped away. This lack of reasoning goes to show that absolutely no input was put forth when making this decision.

Pathetic. If I could pull the Jenkins Endowed Scholarship I would. My parents are turning in their graves. Fire this idiot.

I know many of my fellow alumni would not have attended Whittier if it wasn’t for the sports programs. Getting rid of them would hurt the current and future students more then you know. Many of us still are close and network with others in the sports we continue to play after college.

This is despicable. Sports has helped countless people to not only improve their life and achieve their goals, but also help those who were not financially stable to pay, reach their dreams. how can we be heralded as a school with great upward mobility when you cut out one of the biggest factors that leads to it.
