Don’t agree with everything here, but yes to general sentiment. Why cancel even golf? This is obviously a personal value judgment about the sport. Wrong!

I am not an alumni, but as an 80 year old grandmother of female and male athletes, I need/want to sign my protest. I have witnessed healthy outcomes (fitness, self-discipline, connection, responsibility, teaming and leadership) developed through athletic programs. Let's keep Whittier's HEALTHY athletic programs and athletes. Please let me know when fundraising starts and how to donate!

I don’t understand how the school can receive $12m from Scott ( Jeff Bezo’s ex) and not have to fund the $700k per year it says it needs. None of these decisions make sense and I believe the President is trying to destroy WC. Also opening up the school to a lawsuit.

I would add the raping of the Friends of the Shannon Center and funneling the money into the college's general fund. And what of Ruth B. Shannons legacy? She's spinning in her grave. A similar tragedy perpetrated by Linda and condoned by a spineless board of Trustees.
