Bring back men’s LAX, golf and football

This decision goes against Whittiers mission statement. It is punishing students for to date unidentified reason except a wanted change of culture. That is problematic.

I am in full support of the list of demands for transparency and the resignation of the President and the Board of Directors

I’m fully in support of this petition and the actions that need to be taken at Whittier when it comes to the recent news.

At mid-year the college will see a 1.2 million dollar short fall if only 60% of these athletes transfer. Next year it wii cost 2.4 million plus inflation, salary increases, benefits increases, and fixed expenses increases plus who know what long-term contracts will cost.is the college prepared to back fill these losses and if so, we would like to know.

This move was unjustified. The backlash will hit the school's pockets without a doubt. Good luck to anyone that supports this.

Disgusting the way they continue to drive donors away. A lack of funding and alumni participation in giving is a DIRECT reflection of the administration's leadership! Students need athletics for mental health and well-being not to mention it provides a forever connection to the college which increases alumni giving. Societies also did that but you continue to break them apart as well. If a business was run like this, it would fail. The executive team would be fired. The administration must be held accountable. If funds are lacking, it's on them. I still don't even understand how this particular president was chosen given her lack of success in her previous position.

I was a manager on both the football and basketball teams in the early 70’s. I think it’s a big mistake to drop football, golf and lacrosse. Sports are a big part of college life and it would be a shame to not have these as a part of our college
